From the Rapture to Second Coming
The point of the rapture, where all believers in Jesus leave the earth and nonbelievers stay, kicks off a seven-year tribulation period. This period is known as Daniel's 70th week, where a week equates to seven years. The tribulation is divided into two equal time periods with the Antichrist's revealing himself delineating the two periods. In the first half, called the tribulation, The Antichrist starts by negotiating a peace agreement between Israel and its neighbors. During this time there will be seven judgments inflicted on those who were not raptured, also known as the Seal Judgments. Three and a half years into the tribulation the Antichrist suffers a mortal head wound but miraculously comes back to life. It's at this point where his true nature is shown and he unleashes hell on earth. This period is called the Great Tribulation and is accompanied by seven trumpet judgements then seven bowl judgments. At the end of the seven-year period Jesus returns to earth, throws the Antichrist and False Prophet into the lake of fire, and binds Satan for a thousand years. Jesus then establishes heaven on earth where there will be no mourning, crying or pain. (NOTE: The above assumes a pre-tribulation perspective, where the rapture happens prior to the tribulation period. Other points of view include the rapture occurring in the middle of the tribulation period (mid-tribulation) and the rapture occurring at the end of the tribulation period (post-tribulation)).
Events leading up to the Tribulation
The first half (3 1/2 years) of the Tribulation
The Midpoint of the Tribulation
- Ten world governments - Revelation 17:12-13 - The ten horns that you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority as kings, with the beast, for one hour. 13 These have one mind, and they give their power and authority to the beast. (WEB)
- Single world currency to support universal buying and selling - Revelation 13:16-17 - He causes all, the small and the great, the rich and the poor, and the free and the slave, to be given marks on their right hands, or on their foreheads; 17 and that no one would be able to buy or to sell, unless he has that mark, the name of the beast or the number of his name. (WEB)
- The Rapture - 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 - For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. (KJV) 1 Corinthians 15:52 - In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we will be changed. (WEB)
- Jewish Homeland Established - Daniel 9:27 - He shall make a firm covenant with many for one week: and in the middle of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the offering to cease; and on the wing of abominations shall come one who makes desolate; and even to the full end, and that determined, shall wrath be poured out on the desolate. (WEB)
NOTE: The many referred above is Israel, which requires its establishment as a homeland. - Gospel Preached Worldwide - Matthew 24:14 - This Good News of the Kingdom will be preached in the whole world for a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come. (WEB)

Rev 11:7-10 - When they have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up out of the abyss will make war with them, and overcome them, and kill them. 8 Their dead bodies will be in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified. 9 From among the peoples, tribes, languages, and nations people will look at their dead bodies for three and a half days, and will not allow their dead bodies to be laid in a tomb. 10 Those who dwell on the earth rejoice over them, and they will be glad. They will give gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth. (WEB)
NOTE: For this to be known worldwide requires a communication vehicle which is much faster than those at the times of this writing - Daniel's 70 Weeks - Daniel 9:25-27 - 25 Know therefore and discern, that from the going out of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem to the Anointed One,[a] the prince, shall be seven weeks, and sixty-two weeks: it shall be built again, with street and moat, even in troubled times. 26 After the sixty-two weeks the Anointed One[b] shall be cut off, and shall have nothing: and the people of the prince who shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and its end shall be with a flood, and even to the end shall be war; desolations are determined. 27 He shall make a firm covenant with many for one week: and in the middle of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the offering to cease; and on the wing of abominations shall come one who makes desolate; and even to the full end, and that determined, shall wrath be poured out on the desolate. (WEB)
NOTE: Daniel's first 69 weeks start with rebuilding of the temple in 444BC and end with Palm Sunday 30AD. There is a gap throughout the Church Age and the 70th week begins at the point of the rapture.
